Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Heard millions of times in all kinds of situations. BUT, what happens when they get what they wish for .....they don't know how to accept it. So, I think the saying should but modified...

Sometimes discussing your wishes with the person you want to share those wishes with is half the fun. It's also a great way to get to know a person you already know. And usually when the wishes come true, more than one person will benefit from it and, enjoy it.
